The halo has slipped from Stuart Petroleums Saintly-1 well, located in PEL 113 50km south of Moomba.

Stuart Petroleum’s early confidence in the well has been dented following a second drill stem test (DST) which also revealed no significant hydrocarbons.

The second DST in the was run over the McKinlay formation (1299.5 -1305.5 metres) and recovered one barrel of ‘rat hole’ mud and 28 barrels of water.

DST-1, which tested hydrocarbon shows in the Cadnaowie formation over the interval 1206-1237 metres, also recovered ‘rat hole’ mud with a trace of oil. Hydrocarbon shows in the Murta will be evaluated later in the drilling program.

Interests in PEL 113, Cooper/Eromanga Basin, SA are Stuart Petroleum Limited (Operator) 66.7% and Beach Petroleum Limited 33.3%.
